Radojka Šverko

Radojka Šverko (born 9 April 1948) is a Croatian female singer-songwriter, an alto range artist. She has won a total of four Porins and was bestowed the Order of Danica. She is the second singer with most Porins for best female vocal performance after Josipa Lisac. She is considered one of the most eminent singers in the history of Croatian music.[1][2][3]

Šverko was the recipient of many music festival awards, most recently at the Split Festival (2005) for her song Licem u lice (lit. "Face to Face"). She has released numerous albums, singles and EPs for leading Croatian and Yugoslav record labels.[4] She is an actress as well, who appeared in several films. She has released about thirty solo albums. Šverko also had success internationally, receiving numerous recognitions and awards. She has collaborated with other musicians recording with them many more albums.[1]

In February 2015 she sang at the inauguration of Croatian president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.[5]

Awards

Šverko won four Porins (three for the best female vocal performance and a Porin Lifetime Achievement Award) and was honored with the Order of Danica Hrvatska.[1]
