Ross Gillespie
John Ross Gillespie MBE (born 2 June 1935 in Timaru) is a former field hockey player from New Zealand. Gillespie represented New Zealand at the Summer Olympics twice as a player, in 1960 and 1964.[1][2] He was a member of the coaching staff at the Olympics in 1972 and with the gold medal winning team of 1976.
In the 1977 New Year Honours, Gillespie was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire, for services to hockey.[3]
