Rosy Ocampo
Rosy Ocampo (born Rosa María Ocampo García on November 11, 1959 in México City, D.F., México) is a Mexican television executive and producer. She was the VP of Content for Televisa (2017-2018), where she was undertaking the task of creating and executing strategies to help further develop and produce content for all the network’s free and pay-TV channels, targeting both Televisa and its sister network Univision.

Biography
Prior to her current position, Ocampo is better known as a highly-respected producer and showrunner of world-class television content, overseeing each story from page to screen. To this date, her production of La Fea Más Bella still holds the record for the most viewed finale in Mexico’s history, with over 68% of the population tuning in to watch. Ocampo has also been responsible for finding and nurturing some of Mexico’s most esteemed and respected talent such as Belinda, Diego Boneta, Jaime Camil, amongst others.
With over 20 highly successful telenovelas under her belt, Ocampo’s productions have been broadcast in over 70 countries, leading Televisa’s offer in MIPCOM and MIPTV for several years. She has also been actively involved in co-production in two of the most important markets in the world, China and Brazil; and she has also been a judge for the International Emmy Awards. In the United States alone, her telenovelas have contributed to Univision’s golden era as the leader of the US Latino market.
Throughout the years, Ocampo’s productions have been widely recognized for bringing innovation to the telenovela, one of the main genres of entertainment worldwide and the cornerstone of Televisa’s offer. She has also spearheaded transmedia strategies with her productions that take viewers beyond the TV screen with storytelling that spans digital and social platforms.
Rosy Ocampo is considered to be one of the 25 most powerful women according to People en Español (3), one of the 300 leaders of the country according to Líderes, and one of the 100 most important women in Mexico according to CNN Expansión 2014, 2015, 2016.
For her work with various national and international social institutions, including UNICEF where she led campaigns to help guide the audience in important social reforms, Ocampo has received over 80 awards, including the Iberoamerican Prix Jeunesse for Excellence in Children’s Content and the Principios Award from the National Communication Council for the Best Content in Television, granted by the President of Mexico.
Rosy Ocampo lives in Mexico with her husband, Jose, who she’s been married to over 30 years and they share two kids, Montserrat and Santiago.
