Salawin Wildlife Sanctuary
The Salawin Wildlife Sanctuary (Thai: เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าสาละวิน) is located in Thailand near the border with Burma and includes the Thai section of the Salween River. Founded in 1978, it is an IUCN Category IV wildlife sanctuary, measuring 87,500 square kilometres (33,800 sq mi) in size.[1]
