Critical reaction
The soundtrack was well received. Spence D. from IGN.com said that "From start to finish the Saw V soundtrack flows with a sense of purpose and cohesion, the tracks having a unifying dark undercurrent that makes for an electric shocked jolting mixtape with dark intent." He then gave the album a "good" 7.9/10.[1] Bloggernews.net's Zach Freeman gave the soundtrack a A- and further said "This album is a solid mix of score and soundtrack that is not as heavy as it might be perceived."
