Selemon Barega

Selemon Barega Shirtaga (born 20 January 2000) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes primarily in the 5000 metres.[1] He represented his country at the 2017 World Championships finishing fifth in the final. He also won gold medals at the 2016 World U20 Championships and 2017 World U18 Championships. He won a silver medal in the men's 5000 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.
