Solgi Rural District

Solgi Rural District (Persian: دهستان سلگي) is a rural district (dehestan) in Khezel District, Nahavand County, Hamadan Province, Iran. As of the 2006 census, its population was 13,923, with 3,393 families.[1] The rural district has 22 villages.

"Solgi" or "Seleki" refers to a noble family living in Nahavand, a historical town in the west of Iran. Their root goes back to the Seleucid Empire who ruled Iran for 220 years after the Alexander the Great conquered the country.
