Plot

The film begins at an estate, owned by an innocent cowardly guy Gopi (Akkineni Nageswara Rao), raised by his maternal uncle Chakrapani (Nagabhushanam) a vicious person, who oppresses and torments him along with his son Seshu (Giri Babu). The only one who shows concern on Gopi is his father Zamindar Jagapathi's (Jaggayya) trustworthy servant Veeraiah (Allu Ramalingaiah) and his daughter Radha (Vanisri). Meanwhile, Chakrapani's daughter Kamala (Kamala) studies in the city where she gets acquainted with a smart guy Ramu (again Akkineni Nageswara Rao), and they fall for each other. Meanwhile, Gopi loves Radha, on her provocation, he confronts Chakrapani when he is smacked and Radha is humiliated. There, angered Veeraiah reaches Ramu, unveils Ramu and Gopi as twins and narrates the past. Jagapati's wife passed away giving birth to these twins when Ramu was adopted by his grandfather Raja Venkatadri (Satyanarayana). Exploiting the situation, Chakrapani cleverly murdered Jagapati and framed it as suicide, but Veeraiah has witnessed the crime. After knowing the truth, Ramu decides to teach Chakrapani a lesson, so he moves to the estate when Chakrapani slaughters him and buries him silently. Thereafter, Chakrapani finds out the love affair of Ramu and Kamala and also realizes she is pregnant. Now Chakrapani ploys to couple Kamala with Gopi, to which both of them object, but Chakrapani forcibly makes the arrangements. Here, flabbergasted, Gopi views the unfreed Ramu's soul which unfolds the fact and ensures to safeguard him. Thereon, Ramu possesses Gopi's body becomes a marvel, gives a counter-attack to foes and implement their retribution. At present, Kamala mistakes Gopi as Ramu and affirms herself as pregnant. So, to provide legitimacy to her child Ramu marries her with Gopi's body when Radha misconstrues as Gopi. After conceiving a baby boy, Kamala discerns the fact and she too expires. At last, Ramu stops the baddies, performs the marriage of Gopi and Radha and hands over his child to them. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note on Ramu soul uniting with Kamala in heaven.
