Services
Monday to Saturday daytimes there is generally a half-hourly service from Sutton Parkway southbound to Nottingham. There are two trains per hour northbound, one terminating at Mansfield Woodhouse and the other at Worksop. Evenings hourly in each direction and two-hourly service in both directions on Sundays, though on Sundays, all northbound services terminate at Mansfield Woodhouse.[1]
When Sunday services began in December 2008, some trains ran through to Worksop and from 12 July 2009 the first service in the morning and the last service back on a Sunday was extended to/from Skegness, providing the opportunity for a day out in Skegness by rail. Trains north of Mansfield were not well used however and were withdrawn at the May 2011 timetable change.[2]
There is also one daily southbound service Mondays to Fridays (from Mansfield Woodhouse) that continues beyond Nottingham to Norwich, however there is no return train.
