TextThe Betrayal of the American Right at Mises Institute

In it, Rothbard describes the takeover of the Old Right by neoconservatives and cold warriors during the 1950s and 1960s. The book argues this change resulted in a negative shift in American politics, as the Old Right that supported small government and non-intervention in foreign affairs became a Republican party that promoted statism and anti-Communist policies around the world.

The greater part of the manuscript was written in 1971 and revised in 1973. Very little of the original manuscript was changed for publication in 2007.[1]
