Early and personal life

Thomas John Law was born in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire to Trish and Robert Law. He has two sisters. Law also has family in Australia. Starting professional work as a child, he has been modelling since the age of four and appeared in four episodes of Casualty (airing in 2005). Law attended Chancellor's School in Brookmans Park, which fellow actor Vinnie Jones also attended. In terms of sports, Law is a supporter of Leicester City.[1] His hobbies include golf, football and cricket, as well as soprano singing and running.[2]

Acting career

In 2007 and 2008, Law took part in Children In Need. With the cast of EastEnders, he recorded The Beatles song "A Little Help from My Friends" (2007), Songs From West End Musicals (2008), and Motown Hits (2009). Other notable charity work has included playing at the Alan Ball Memorial Cup in 2007, the opening of the kitchens at the University Hospitals of Leicester.[3]

In December 2007, Law was invited to Luton & Dunstable Hospital by his aunt, who works there. He spent time with children who had to stay at the hospital over Christmas. During the visit, Law saw youngsters in all three of the L&D's children's wards. He stopped frequently to chat with them, take pictures and chat, as well as signing autographs. After the event hospital spokesman Barry Mayes said: "[Law] gave a big chunk of his time. He was very pleasant, mature and humble, and really homed in on the children and how they were feeling."[4] In February 2010, Law attended a fundraising event along with other members of the EastEnders cast to raise money for victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. The event took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.[5]

In November 2010 it was announced that Law would be leaving EastEnders at the end of the year; he was preparing to make his stage debut in Peter Pan.[6]

In April 2014, Law made a guest appearance in Casualty as patient, Sean Starky.[7]
