United States Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

The Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, in the United States government, is the chief operating officer of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. The current Deputy Secretary is Brian D. Montgomery, having been the acting Deputy Secretary since January 17, 2019; he was confirmed to the position on a permanent basis on May 12, 2020 after having been nominated for the position in October 2019.[1][2]

Alfred A. DelliBovi[4][5] was the first Deputy Secretary after the title had been changed from Under Secretary in 1990. The Under Secretary position was created with the establishment of the Department in 1966.[6]
