WRCY runs several sporting events, including Mount Vernon High School football, basketball, and baseball. It also carries Purdue University football and basketball, along with selected NASCAR and IndyCar races. WRCY began broadcasting in 1955.[2]
On December 19, 2016 WRCY changed their format from country to sports, with programming from Fox Sports Radio.[3]
