"Wait a Minute!" is a single by Willow, taken from her second album Ardipithecus.[2] It was released alongside its parent album by Roc Nation on December 11, 2015.[3] The song's lyrics were written by Willow and producer James Chul Rim, while music and production were handled by Chul Rim and Jta.[4]

Commercial performance

"Wait a Minute!" saw little success upon release in 2015. It wouldn't be until four years later that it would start to gain traction. In spring 2019, the track inspired the #HereRightNow dance challenge on the social media platform TikTok, where it went viral.[5] As of September 2020, the song has been used in over 1.8 million videos on TikTok and been streamed over 200 million times on Spotify.[6][7]
