Wu Mengchao
Dr. Wu Mengchao (Chinese: 吴孟超; born 31 August 1922),[1] is a Chinese surgeon and medical scientist who specializes in hepatobiliary surgery. He is an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Wu was born in Minqing County, Fujian, China, and grew up in East Malaysia. Considered as the "Father of Chinese Hepatobiliary Surgery", in 2005 he was awarded the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award, China's highest scientific prize, by President Hu Jintao. He is the founding director of Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital affiliated to the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai.
