Yeghishe Arakyal Monastery
Yeghishe Arakyal Monastery (Armenian: Եղիշէ Առաքեալի վանք) or Monastery of Yeghishe the Apostle (Azerbaijani: Müqəddəs Yelisey monastırı) is an Armenian Apostolic Church located on the bank of the Tartar river, de jure in the Tartar District of Azerbaijan, but de facto in the Martakert Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh. Because of the close proximity to the militarized border, no visitors are allowed to travel to the monastery. The monastery is located close to the village of Madagiz.
