The 1941–42 season was Real Madrid Club de Fútbol's 39th season in existence and the club's 10th consecutive season in the top flight of Spanish football.

Summary
In spite of a superb performance of forward Manuel Alday,[1] the club finished on 2nd spot seven points below Champions Valencia CF[2][3] surprisingly the squad lost at home against Celta shattered its options to clinch the League.[4]
