Denkyembour

Denkyembour District is one of the thirty-three (33) districts in Eastern Region, Ghana.[1][2][3] It was originally part of the then-larger Kwaebibirem District in 1988, which it came from its former predecessor known as West Akim District Council. Later on 6 February 2012, part of the district was split off to become Denkyembour District. The district assembly is located in the southwest part of Eastern Region and has Akwatia as its capital town.
