George Cortez
George Cortez (born February 11, 1951) is the running backs coach for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.[1] He was notably the head coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats during the 2012 season.[2] His coaching career began in 1979 where he was the offensive line coach for the Rice Owls of Rice University. In terms of professional football, he has also coached in the Canadian Football League for the Montreal Alouettes/Concordes, Ottawa Rough Riders, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and BC Lions.[3] He attended Texas A&M University.
