Production

Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland was first announced the development of the series in June 2020.[3][4] It was produced by Keshet International's Tresor Productions.[5] The show's staff is commissioned by producer Tina Allert.[6]

Episode tapings were took place at MMC Studios in Ossendorf, Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia,[7] and began on 30 July 2020.[8] In October 2020, RTL has decided to restart production for the second season in 2021 after the pilot week broadcasts proved successful.[9]

Two episodes were completed before production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. One main reason for that interruption is lacking of enhanced safety protocols.[10] Jovan Evermann, a Tresor Productions spokesperson, stated that the programme followed their safety protocols according to the federal health department. None of the audience caught positive of virus at the end of production.[11]

Broadcast

I Can See Your Voice debuted on 18 August 2020 (2020-08-18) as a part of the network's Power Week special programming.[12][13] This was made the shortest season in overall ICSYV franchise because of halting productions.[10][11]

The program is aired by RTL. They are available for streaming on TVNow through video on demand.[14]
