Jeremy Nixon

Jeremy Nixon (born 1982) is a Canadian politician who was elected in the 2019 Alberta general election to represent the electoral district of Calgary-Klein in the 30th Alberta Legislature. Nixon was stripped of his position as parliamentary secretary for civil society after disregarding COVID-19 restrictions and traveling to Hawaii for a holiday in December 2020.[2] He is a member of the United Conservative Party.[3] He is the brother of Alberta MLA Jason Nixon.[4]

In January 2021, Nixon was found to be vacationing in Hawaii despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the border between the United States and Canada being closed to nonessential travel, and he was demoted from his position as a parliamentary secretary as a result.[5][6]
