Keith Wrightson

Keith Wrightson (born 22 March 1948) is a historian who specialises in early modern England.

Education

Wrightson was educated at Dame Allan's Boys' School, Newcastle upon Tyne and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, where he received his BA (1970) and PhD (1974) degrees.[1]

Career

Wrightson has taught at the University of St Andrews, University of Cambridge and Yale University.[2] Wrightson is currently the Randolph W. Townsend Professor of History at Yale University.[3]

Honours

Wrightson is a Fellow of the British Academy and the Royal Historical Society. Wrightson was formerly the President of the North American Conference on British Studies.[2][4] Wrightson is the recipient of the John Ben Snow Prize.[2]
