Historical Relations
Turkey established diplomatic relations with Liechtenstein only in 1992 because Switzerland[1] had taken responsibility for Liechtenstein’s foreign relations until early 1990s.[2] On October 2, 1991[3] Turkey accredited its embassy in Bern to Liechtenstein.
Economic Relations
Economically, EFTA countries, with which Turkey has a foreign trade agreement in place,[4] are significant markets for Turkish exporters and investors.[5]
Trade Relations
- Trade volume between the two countries was 7 million USD in 2017 (Turkish exports/imports: 4/3 million USD).[6]
