Mount Edwards is a locality in the Scenic Rim Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census, Mount Edwards had a population of 63 people.[1]

History

The locality takes its name from the nearby mountain, Mount Edwards.[3] A railway status named Mount Edwards (again named after the mountain) opened on 7 October 1922; it was the terminus of the Mount Edwards railway line. The closed 1 November 1960.[2]

Demographics

Mount Edwards has a population of 63 at the 2016 census. The locality contains 32 households, in which 46.9% of the population are males and 53.1% of the population are females with a median age of 48, 10 years above the national average. The average weekly household income is $900, $538 below the national average.[1]
