History
The village was captured by Armenian forces during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War and was administrated as part of the Askeran Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh. Azerbaijan has claimed that the village was recaptured on 9 November 2020 during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.[2] However, the village has not been included on the list of lost settlements in Artsakh, released by the Armenian government.[3]
