Plot
Janki is a simple young woman who gets married on the insistence of her father. She has not met the man prior to the wedding. However, on the wedding night, Janki discovers that the man is actually a mentally challenged person who has the mind of an eight year old. She realises that she has been tricked into marrying him by her in-laws. This makes her furious. Janki wants to tell this her father, but she cannot because her father is a heart patient. Janki is unwilling to accept this marriage and blames her in-laws for ruining her life. Harsh is innocent and childlike. Janki finds it hard to tolerate his behaviour, because of which their relationship has quite a turbulent start. After spending some time together, however, Janki and Harsh become close but they still finding it hard to establish their "Prem Bandhan".
Later, Janki's brother finds out about the situation and forces Janki to come back home. Harsh panics since he can't stay without Janki, who also doesn't want to leave him. But, Janki refuses to leave Harsh. This strengthens their bond. Janki starts her mission to cure Harsh. She consults a specialist doctor who assists her in treating Harsh. Gradually, Janki becomes suspicious that someone in the family doesn't want Harsh to get cured, but she isn't sure who the person is since everyone seems to love Harsh a lot. All is going well, but someone attacks Harsh and he gets hurt on his head. All the family members blamed Janki for that incident. Janki is shattered, yet, she refuses to give up hope. Soon, it is revealed that Janki wants to protect Harsh from the person who was responsible for his mentally unstable condition. That person is Harsh's mother, who is actually his stepmother. She was the person who killed Harsh's grandfather, and made him mentally unstable. The reason behind all of this was the fact that Harsh is the heir to all of his grandfather's property, which his stepmother wanted for herself and her real children.
