Račice (Litoměřice District)

Račice (German: Ratschitz) is a village in Ústí nad Labem Region, Czech Republic, close to the left bank of the Labe River. It is located 2 km northwest of Štětí or 41 km north of Prague and has a population of 308. It is the major rowing and flatwater canoeing venue in the Czech Republic.

Račice rowing center

Račice hosted the 1993 World Rowing Championships and 2017 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, as well as the 2017 European Rowing Championships and the 2006 and 2015 Canoe Sprint European Championships. It is also set to host the 2022 World Rowing Championships.[2]
