Roshan Ravindra

Roshan Ravindra Rajapakse (Sinhala: රොෂාන් රවින්ද්‍ර) is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television.[1][2] Highly versatile actor particularly act in dramatic roles, Ravindra is a recipient of Best Actor Award in many local award festivals.[3][4]

Personal life

Ravindra is married to Sanjeewani, and they have a son Nethruu and daughter Kethaki.[5] He is a disciple of Sri Lankan actor Mahendra Perera.[6]

Career

Before acting, he worked as a make-up artist in some films such as Sudu Kalu Saha Alu.[7] His most popular television acting came through Uthuwan Kande Sura Saradiyal as title role,[8] and then in Sahodaraya.[9] His first project as a television producer was the teledrama Rasthiyadukaraya Directed by Lakmini Amaradewa,[10] followed by Kadadora directed by Rajiv Ananda.[11]

In 2020 he directed his maiden television serial Thanamalvila Kollek.[12][13]

Ravindra's first major role in a film came through 2004 film Aadaraneeya Wassaanaya as Kasun directed by Senesh Dissanaike Bandara.[35][36]
