Media

Manga

The Magic of Chocolate is written and illustrated by Rino Mizuho.[3] It is serialized in the monthly magazine Ciao and its sister magazine, Ciao DX, since 2009 on an irregular schedule.[3] The chapters were later released in 20 bound volumes by Shogakukan under the Ciao Horror Comics imprint.[4]

Instead of being ordered numerically, each volume is named according to the Roman alphabet.[5] From October 11 to November 1, 2013, columnist Bourbon Kobayashi held a contest on Twitter for contestants to guess the subtitle of volume 10, which would begin with the letter "J."[5] Mizuho would be judging the results herself, with the prizes awarded to the first three people who were able to answer correctly, as well as special jury awards such as the "Nice Silly Answer Award" and the "Cool & Sweet Award."[5]

The series is licensed by Shogakukan Asia in English for Southeast Asian distribution.[6][7]
