Thoracochaeta brachystoma is a species of fly in the family Sphaeroceridae, the lesser dung flies. It is found in the Palearctic .[1][2][3] Thoracochaeta brachystoma is a typical inhabitant of sea coasts. The larvae live in seaweed.
