Velika Vas, Moravče
Velika Vas (pronounced [ˈʋeːlika ˈʋaːs]; Slovene: Velika vas, German: Großdorf[2]) is a settlement in the hills above the left bank of the Sava River in the Municipality of Moravče in central Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.[3]

Name
Velika Vas was attested in historical sources as Michilndorff in 1178, Michildorf in 1344, and Mycheldorf in 1384, among other spellings.[4]
