VinFast LUX SA2.0

The VinFast LUX SA2.0 is a 5+2-seater mid-size luxury SUV produced by Vietnamese automaker VinFast. It is based on the F15 BMW X5. The LUX SA2.0 made its global debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.[1]

Not to be confused with VinFast LUX A2.0.

The SA2.0 retails at VND1.415 billion ($USD61,552.00) before the price change at VND2 billion ($86,956) after September 1.[2]

Design

The LUX SA2.0 is designed by Pininfarina.[3]

Engine
Petrol standard

The LUX SA2.0 is powered by a 2.0 L BMW N20B20 turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that is mated to an 8-speed ZF 8HP automatic transmission.

Performance

The LUX A2.0 received a five-star rating from the ASEAN NCAP from a crash test in September 2019.[4]

Production

The production of LUX A2.0 started pilot production in March 2019 with full production in September 2019 at Vinfast's Haiphong factory.[5]

The LUX V8 is a luxury version of the SA2.0 Crossover. It's distinguished by a 6.2 liter V8 engine generating 455 hp, torque of 624 Nm with special interior and exterior trim. It is expected to be sold only in a limited edition.[6] The engine is rumored to be a GM LS (LT1) V8.[7] This model was presented at Geneva Motor Show 2019 through Magna Steyr.[8][9][10]
