Also, its HD3 subchannel formerly carried its country music sister station WVAL ("800 WVAL").
Controversy
On November 24, 2020, WHMH morning host Aaron Imholte spent the majority of his show attacking KAZR morning host Heather Lee, and making misogynistic comments such as "I'm upset that a girl was allowed on a morning radio show" and "This Heather has the audacity to speak up. No, she will not be allowed to speak up. We will bury her in the ground." These attacks came after Imholte was denied the morning show position on KAZR. His comments would soon go viral on social media platforms such as TikTok and Twitter, and on November 25, 2020, the station officially parted ways with Imholte taking the trademarked Steel Toe Morning Show with him. WHMH will continue with a music in the morning format. [3]
