The station's studio is located at the RMN Broadcast Center, G/F Capitol Central Hotel & Suites (formerly The Professional Group Center), N. Escario St. cor. F. Ramos Ext., Capitol Site, Cebu City, and its transmitter is located at Brgy. Kalunasan, Cebu City. This station operates 24/7.[1][2]

History
1976-2002: XLFM
Radio Mindanao Network established DYXL-FM, which began its operations on September 9, 1976. It is the third RMN FM station in Cebu after DXVM-FM in Cagayan de Oro in 1974 and DWKC-FM in Manila in 1975. The station's operations were at the 2nd Floor, Gold Palace Bldg. along Osmeña Blvd. Through its existence, it aired a mass-based format.
On November 23, 1999, the station was reformatted to 939 XLFM (pronounced as "nine-three-nine"), with its slogan Live it Up!. The station switched into a CHR/Top 40 format, broadcasting on a 17-hour basis from 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM.[3] On May 15, 2002, XLFM signed off for the last time.
2002-present: iFM
On May 16, 2002, DYXL-FM was relaunched as 93.9 iFM, now catered to class A, B, C, D & E market radio station and switched back to its mass-based format. It expanded its broadcast hours to 20 hours daily, signing off at 12:00 MN. Since 2008, iFM began its broadcasting 24 hours a day. According to the Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement Survey, iFM was the over-all Number 1 FM station in Metro Cebu from 2002 to 2013.
On May 25, 2012 at 9:00 PM, iFM and its sister station DYHP was signed off the air when RMN stations from Gold Palace Bldg. in Osmeña Blvd. were relocated and transferred to its present studios new broadcast centers at the Ground Floor of Capitol Central Hotel & Suites (formerly The Professional Group Center) in Capitol Site a day later. The station was on test broadcasting at 12:00nn of May 27, 2012 until it returns of regularly programming in music.
In 2014, in an all out effort to regain airwave supremacy, iFM reinvented once more. With extreme pressure from management, iFM leaned a more localized approach in its local tagline and programming, adopting the slogan LR, Lahi raaah! used to be until July 2017.
On November 9, 2015, iFM launched its new logo and slogan Ang Bestfriend Mo!.
On July 24, 2017, iFM changed its slogan to i Na Beh! (also inherited by the latter's flagship tagline of the Manila radio station which launched earlier on June 12), along with the return of the 7-note sound mnemonic from 2002. Since then, iFM launched its new programs' name synchronous and DJ's on board in the Cebuano dialects. On Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, the slogan was changed into i Na Ta!, a variant of the slogan used by the iFM Davao 7 months ago. On the 2nd quarter of 2018, iFM changed its slogan to Ang Idol Mong FM, it also brought back its slogan LR! Lahi Ra! which was used the station's slogan in 2014.[4]
