New Territories East (constituency)
The New Territories East geographical constituency, or NT East, is the one of the five geographical constituencies in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It encompasses Sha Tin District, Tai Po District, North District and Sai Kung District. It currently elects nine members of the Legislative Council using the Hare quota of party-list proportional representation.

History
The constituency was formed in 1995 for the 1998 legislative election, replacing the six previous single-member constituencies: New Territories East and New Territories North, formed for the 1991 election using a dual-seat constituency dual-vote system, and New Territories North, New Territories East, New Territories Northeast, and New Territories Southeast, formed for the 1995 election. From 1985 to 1991, the seats were elected by the electoral colleges composed of the members of the district boards and Regional Council.
