It was reported in July 2020 that Taron Egerton was cast to portray the game developer Henk Rogers in a biopic about the making of the video game Tetris, with Jon S. Baird directing.[1] Egerton confirmed this report in an August interview, explaining that the film would mirror a tone similar to The Social Network.[2] In November, Apple TV+ acquired the film.[3]
