Vega, California
Vega is a former settlement in Monterey County, California.[1] It was located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 2.5 miles (4 km) west-northwest of Aromas,[2] at an elevation of 62 feet (19 m).[1] Vega still appeared on USGS maps as of 1917.[1]

The name, bestowed in 1871, comes from the Vega del Rio del Pajaro land grant on which the town was built.[2]
