The municipality covers an area of 17.04 square kilometres (6.58 sq mi), and has a population of 633 (as at 28 August 2006).
Zvole lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of Žďár nad Sázavou, 44 km (27 mi) east of Jihlava, and 142 km (88 mi) south-east of Prague.
