Currently this seat belongs to Samajwadi Party candidate Durga Prasad Yadav who won in last Assembly election of 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Elections defeating Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Akhilesh by a margin of 26,262 votes.[1]
