Saktiandi Supaat
Saktiandi bin Supaat (Jawi: سقتيند سوڤات; born 28 October 1973[1]) is a Singaporean politician. A member of the People's Action Party (PAP), he currently serves as a member of parliament (MP) for Bishan–Toa Payoh Group Representation Constituency (GRC) for Toa Payoh East Division & was appointed as vice-chairmen of the Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council's with Gan Siow Huang and an advisor of the Bishan-Toa Payoh grassroots organisations.[2]

Education
Saktiandi received his early education at Henry Park Primary School, Raffles Institution and Catholic Junior College.[3] He then went on to complete his BEcon and BCom (Honours) degrees at Murdoch University and University of Melbourne respectively. He proceeded to complete his MSSc in Applied Economics at the National University of Singapore before obtaining an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
Career
Saktiandi is an economist by profession, and is currently the Executive Vice President and Head of FX Research team in Global Markets, Global Banking of Maybank.[4] Prior to joining the private sector in 2010, Saktiandi was a Lead Economist in the Economic Policy Department of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).[3]
Political career
On 12 August 2015, the People's Action Party (PAP) announced Saktiandi to be part of a five-member PAP team that would be contesting in Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC in the 2015 general election.[4][5] Saktiandi was elected into Parliament following the 2015 Singapore General Elections,[6] when their five-member PAP team won and clinched 73.59% of the electorate's valid votes.[7] Saktiandi and team remained representatives for Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC in the 2020 Singaporean general election, garnering 67.26% of the valid votes.[8] He was then appointed Chairperson of Transport Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) in the 14th Parliament of Singapore.
