The municipality covers an area of 28.59 square kilometres (11.04 sq mi), and has a population of 388 (as at 28 August 2006).
Těmice lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) south-west of Pelhřimov, 40 km (25 mi) west of Jihlava, and 94 km (58 mi) south-east of Prague.
