Alder Flats
Alder Flats is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10.[1] It is located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of Highway 22 at the western terminus of Highway 13, approximately 120 kilometres (75 mi) southwest of Edmonton.
Demographics
As a designated place in the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Alder Flats recorded a population of 167 living in 60 of its 70 total private dwellings, a change of 9.9% from its 2011 population of 152. With a land area of 1.85 km2 (0.71 sq mi), it had a population density of 90.3/km2 (233.8/sq mi) in 2016.[2]
As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Alder Flats had a population of 152 living in 59 of its 69 total dwellings, a 2.7% change from its 2006 population of 148. With a land area of 1.66 km2 (0.64 sq mi), it had a population density of 91.6/km2 (237.2/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
