Wostok
Wostok (Russian: Восток) is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within Lamont County.[1] It is located on Range Road 173, approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of Highway 45 and 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) north of Highway 29. Lamont is approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) southwest of Wostok.

Wostok was founded in 1892 as a farming settlement of Slavic immigrants from the provinces of Galicia and Bukovina of Austria-Hungary.[2]
