Silkman House
Silkman House, also known as the Providence Branch of the Scranton Public Library, is a historic home located at Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1840, and is a 2 1/2-story, rectangular frame building in the Greek Revival style. It has a front gable roof, large central chimney, brick foundation, and one-story wing. The front facade features a portico supported by four square columns. The house was purchased by the city of Scranton for use as the Providence Branch of the Scranton Public Library.[2]
